As of December 1, 2011, the portfolio of TREIT consists of ten hotel properties, representing approximately 1,400 rooms, which were acquired at a total cost of almost $300 Million. TREIT is the largest hotel owner in Fort McMurray, Alberta, with a portfolio of over 600 rooms in five properties.
In October 2006, TREIT purchased its first hotel property, the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa. Temple Gardens Mineral Spa is a 179 room, full service hotel and spa complex which is located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and is connected to the Casino Moose Jaw. The hotel spa is rated as one of the top five spas in Canada.
TREIT most recently acquired a 218-room, full service hotel, trade and conference centre in Red Deer, Alberta.
